Rice University – a vision for the future
The Beaubois design team worked at record speed to meet exceptionally tight timelines for the Rice University project. As always, great attention was paid to all details of the design and installation and all elements fit together perfectly, and on time.
Beaubois provided custom furnishings and architectural woodwork for five buildings in total. The team worked on the Duncan College and McMurtry College residence and the Commons and Masters Houses, for which they produced and installed wall panels, bookshelves, banquettes, furniture, columns, windowsills, vanities, ramps, benches and a variety of moldings for the five buildings.
The university projects a 30% increase in its student population and the new buildings are part of its vision for the future. Rice University is well known for the quality of its applied science programs in nanotechnology, artificial heart research, structural chemical analysis and space science.
