The PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center – a prestigious facility
A modern and luxurious facility set alongside the Willamette Valley, the Sacred Heart Medical Center of Springfield is the flagship of the PeaceHealth system, a network of six hospitals in the District of Columbia, Oregon and Alaska. The Sacred Heart Medical Center offers spacious rooms with a spectacular view of the valley and the city, a two-storey atrium filled with natural light and a vast lobby with a comforting fireplace for patients and visitors to enjoy.
The Beaubois team crafted a majestic staircase in the main lobby of the center, and impressive column claddings throughout the facility. For furnishings in patient rooms, operating rooms, laboratories, emergency rooms and nursing stations, Beaubois used cherrywood veneers almost exclusively. Handrails, woodbase and chair rails throughout the building were also crafted by the Beaubois team.
The center is equipped with leading-edge technology in all departments including the Intensive Care Unit, the neurology and sleep disorder departments and the department of services for women and children. The latter includes birthing rooms, a neonatal intensive care unit, pediatrics, orthopaedics and oncology services.
With exceptional natural surroundings and elegant landscaping, the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center is an excellent showcase of Beaubois’ talent for artistic architectural woodwork the blends harmoniously with its setting.
