Parq Vancouver, exceptional architectural woodwork
Beaubois contributed to the design and development of Parq Vancouver, a bold architectural endeavour that includes two hotels and a casino. The Beaubois team repurposed a majestic BC Fir tree to create an eye-catching reception desk for the Douglas Hotel. At 27 ft. long, highlighted with genuine bark, this unique piece is displayed in a glass showcase.
Using a variety of veneers, including rare and delicate died Anigre; the Beaubois team put its touch on the hotel’s common areas, the lounge, the staircases, the bars, the guest rooms and all of the reception rooms including the giant Vancouver ballroom. The team also contributed to the development of the casino and its reception rooms. Parq Vancouver was an enormous project that implicated 25 engineers and 176 craftsman in 6 factories across Canada and the United States; not counting than 65 local installers.
Designed according to LEED gold standards, Parq Vancouver includes 517 guest rooms and a casino with 600 slot machines, 75 game tables and 11 private high roller rooms. An important private property for Vancouver, Beaubois is proud to have contributed to the impressive design and development of Parq Vancouver.
