The Orlando VA Medical Center – an ultramodern facility for veterans
The Beaubois team was proud to be a part of the construction of the Orlando VA Medical Center, a new veterans’ hospital in the Orlando Medical City. With a value of $656M (USD), the Lake Nona Medical City project includes the University of Central Florida College of Medicine as well as a 134-bed hospital, a 60-bed convalescent center, an outpatient clinic and a mini service center for veterans.
The new 120-bed hospital, certified LEED® Silver, will respond to the growing needs of the approximately 400,000 veterans residing in central Florida. The Beaubois team provided architectural woodwork for the reception area, nursing stations, examining rooms, waiting rooms, library and Optometry Department. The team crafted custom furnishings including trespa panels, bed headboards, laboratory furnishings, cabinets, cupboards and stainless steel furniture.
With sophisticated digital equipment and ultramodern facilities, the new hospital will be appreciated by both staff and patients. Beaubois was thrilled to be a part of yet another major construction project within the Orlando healthcare system
