The Marriott Marquis Convention Center – a splendid space
Beaubois was thrilled to contribute to of the construction of the Marriott Marquis Convention Center in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. The center has 15 storeys in total, seven of which are underground to comply with the height restrictions that have been in place since 1910. The 1,150 guestrooms, three restaurants and health center are located on the upper floors, while the convention center takes up the underground floors.
The Beaubois team crafted and installed vanities, minibars and moldings in the hotel rooms, as well as marble-covered counters and wall panels in the reception area and the Concierge Lounge. The team also produced marble and quartz-clad bars, wall panels and banquettes for the three restaurants in the center.
Beaubois’ wall panels can also be found in the enormous ballroom. Marble, fabric and glass accents were also incorporated to give the splendid room a unique charm. Finally, Beaubois provided wall panels and moldings for all of the center’s meeting rooms. The magnificent convention center was built according to LEED Silver standards, and Beaubois provided top-quality woodwork that fit seamlessly with all other features of the project.
