The Kaleida Health-Heart and Vascular Institute – an inspiring collaboration
Beaubois was proud to contribute to the construction of the Global Heart & Vascular Institute and Clinical Translational Research Center (CTRC), an innovative project born of a partnership between the University at Buffalo and Kaleida Health. The new institute includes 600 patient beds, 30 operating theaters and 17 interventional laboratories for cardiac, vascular and neurosurgical issues.
Kaleida Health occupies four of the 10 available floors, offering facilities for cardiac and vascular surgery, an enormous emergency clinic and space dedicated to research and development. Four other floors house the CTRC and the University at Buffalo Biosciences Incubator.
The Beaubois team produced and installed counters, cupboards and vanities for all of the rooms, as well as wall panels in the main entrance and all of the nursing stations – which were finished with a solid surface produced and shaped in the Beaubois plant.
The new Institute will bring together physicians and researchers to deliver state-of-the-art clinical care and produce major breakthroughs in the causes and treatment of vascular diseases. Beaubois was honored to contribute to such an important development project.
