Hotel Conrad Washington, DC – a contemporary urban oasis
Located in the heart of the District, the Conrad Washington, DC is a 360-room hotel and mixed-use facility offering spectacular views of the nation’s capital. This second phase of the CityCenterDC project, now covering 2.5 million square feet, brought together a team of internationally renowned industry specialists: real estate firm Hines, investor Qatari Diar, architecture firm HKS, and Rottet Studios for interior design.
Beaubois was commissioned to provide custom metal and white oak paneling and baseboards at the entrance of all 360 hotel rooms, in the grand ballroom, the conservatory ballroom, bathrooms and the spacious reception area. Tailor-made furniture, paneling and cabinetry were also created for the Sakura Club presidential-style suites, executive lounge, accessible hotel rooms, plus the rooftop bar and terraces. The team relied on precise laser measurements to create a unique, spiral staircase flanked by solid, continuous oak railings. In the hotel’s main bar and lounge Beaubois provided furniture, decorative elements, copper and glass wine cellars, and a stunning curved bar that required complex CNC machining, as well as metal shaped by a local foundry.
Throughout construction, Beaubois worked closely with architects to bring to life this emblem of modern luxury.
