The Baie-Saint-Paul Hospital – a successful collaboration
This is the fifteenth hospital complex in which the Beaubois team has had the opportunity to incorporate its outstanding architectural woodwork. This modern, four-story, 34,676-square-meter building includes an emergency room, two operating rooms, outpatient clinics with 16 rooms, a short-term geriatric unit, a functional rehabilitation unit, 103 beds in long-term care, and more. Beaubois provided wooden furniture throughout the building, including in the administration area, imaging services and patient rooms.
In the atrium lined with large windows, Beaubois installed numerous wall panels, as well as perforated acoustic panels on the ceiling. These were designed in collaboration with the architectural firm to absorb sound, while enhancing the elegance of the space.
The Baie-Saint-Paul hospital aesthetic is inspired by the beauty of Charlevoix. In each room, for instance, patients can admire printed photos depicting the picturesque landscapes of Baie-Saint-Paul, exposed behind glass panels on the headboards.
Designed to function for many years to come, the Baie-Saint-Paul hospital will support this Quebec community in its future development.
