A remarkable new building whose magnificent architecture and design are enriched by Beaubois products.
This $5.5M contract required that Beaubois appear on 19 floors in the 37 identical courtrooms, the vast Ceremonial Court and the taxes room.
A lot of solid wood was used in this project. The challenge here was to protect the wood from humidity, which causes it to warp and makes installation of the veneer problematic. Quarter cut cherry wood was selected for this application.
Beaubois’ art in wood graces each room. The firm produced and installed the judges’ benches, witness stands and court clerk boxes. All the rooms are decorated with moulded wall panels and a number of architectural elements, as well as doors and frames.
A prestigious project, a stimulating challenge, everything the Beaubois team could wish for!
