An arts-inspired hotel – Celebrating New York's musical and cultural heritage
The construction of New York's first Hard Rock hotel is now complete. The superstructure dedicated to the Big Apple’s music and arts scene includes an illuminated glass curtain wall, a lively lobby, a restaurant, a signature lounge, a rooftop oasis, and a chic and trendy underground speakeasy, among several other features.
Located near Times Square, the 52-story 5 star hotel is in the heart of the action, in a vibrant neighborhood that attracts visitors from all over the world to experience New York’s unique vibe. Designed to pay tribute to the city’s musical and cultural heritage, the Hard Rock Hotel hosts musical performances, museum-style exhibits featuring a collection of priceless memorabilia and incorporates art-inspired design elements.
As part of this highly inspiring project, the Beaubois team produced millwork for levels 1 to 4 which incorporated the design of a wall made entirely of records. We also added our unique touch in the Yankees Steakhouse with a bespoke illuminated hall of fame signature wall.
Our engineering and craftsmanship was called upon once again to create a 30-foot wood wall featuring intricately angled panels as part of a memorial site to honor the greats who once lit up the scene, such as Jimmy Hendrix, Elvis Presley, and Frank Sinatra.
Manufacturing of the various modules adorning the hotel was completed three months before installation began. We were ahead of schedule! Beaubois was also involved in technical support and site coordination with various suppliers, as we accustomed to doing, given our expertise in this area
