Specializing in high-quality architectural woodwork, Beaubois worked on all areas of the building, using natural-finish white oak. The team embellished the six courtrooms, creating and installing all of the furnishings, including a semi-circular judge’s bench. The company left its stamp of quality on the information counters, the benches, the doors and frames, the security desks, the office shelving in the judges’ offices and the vanities.
Designed to be modern and safe, this new building is aiming for a silver LEED certification. It will house the superior, juvenile, district and family courts, as well as the housing tribunal and probate court.
The Greenfield Trial Court is located in a small town with beautiful tourist attractions, such as historic farms and a covered bridge with nearby swimming and fishing. Beaubois is proud to leave a lasting impression on this charming location.
This is the third courthouse of its kind on which Beaubois has worked with Massachusetts Leers Weinzapfel Associates Architects—the other two being the Taunton Trial Court in Taunton and the Fenton Judicial Center in Lawrence.
