Located in Goshen, Indiana, the new Elkhart County Judicial Campus will merge the County’s two older court facilities into one centralized, digitally sophisticated campus. The project involves the construction of a 4-story, 173,000-square-foot main building.
Construction began in July 2022, and in August, a high-tech camera was installed so the public could witness construction at the site 24 hours a day.
Byce & Associate, Inc. and GL Architects are responsible for the design of the campus and will work alongside general contractor Performances Services, which subcontracted specific parts of the project to Ziolkowski Construction. Beaubois has been commissioned to make unique custom elements in all 12 courtrooms, including the judges’ furniture, jury benches, spectator seating, wooden wall panels, wood frames and base, and lecterns. Several other items including benches in public areas, information desk, lobby elevator millwork, windowsills and more will also be part of Beaubois’ commission.
