Cache Creek Casino – in the heart of the Capay Valley
In May 2017, the Cache Creek Casino unveiled an expansion plan featuring two new hotel towers, 459 additional hotel rooms, a multipurpose event and concert space, restaurants, added meeting spaces, and another pool complex. Beaubois collaborated with HBG Design and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation to bring to life this space that reflects the beauty of the surrounding Capay Valley.
Working with maple, white oak, walnut and stainless steel, the Beaubois team created a rich, 17-colour palette for the project. The result is a nuanced, timeless look. The existing Chang Shou Bar and the Steakhouse were given a facelift, with the addition of new paneling, impressive entryway arches, and ceilings that now showcase distinctive wood boxes and detailing. The updated steakhouse provides an ambiance of luxury, with curved booths, live-edge shelving, behind-the-bar wooden cabinets, and an imposing entrance framed by dark panels and angled slats.
In the events centre and junior ballroom, the Beaubois team covered multi-story columns in maple, while immense, sweeping arches flank the entrances. Beaubois woodwork was integrated throughout the meeting rooms and main lobby, as trim and paneling on both walls and ceilings. The team also worked closely with suppliers to prepare large-scale brushed stainless-steel panels, which were used to wrap columns.
