The Billings Courthouse – a first-class facility
The General Services Administration (GSA) invested a total of $60M in this project; therefore a careful analysis of cost and value was necessary at each step. The Beaubois team offered suggestions for cost-effective improvements during the design phase of the project.
Once production started, the Beaubois experts set to work on creating custom furnishings for three courtrooms and judges’ chambers, as well as wall paneling for the conference room and corridors. The team also crafted the reception furniture for the facility using a walnut veneer that perfectly matched the accompanying wall panels of the same wood.
The new building qualified for LEED® gold status due to solar panels on the roof and thermal wells that, depending on the season, heat or cool the building and make it a pleasant work environment for employees. The state-of-the art facility houses the offices of the federal Clerk of District Court, the U.S. Marshals Service and the U.S. Attorney.
